The Knight's Tour

                

                 A changing series of small installations, constructed using a rule system based on the Knight’s Tour, which charts the 64 moves a knight can make on a chess board to land on every square once. utk has selected 32 ‘old’ objects and 32 items bought for future work to create a set of random formations. These represent different combinations of all the paraphernalia retained from past utk exhibitions, future shows and failed proposals, thus creating new work which bypasses critical or curatorial filtering. utk invites the viewer to create a narrative whose starting point is maybe a pair of rubber gloves, a wine glass, a bell clip and a plastic plant…
